N-trig Stylus Design

N-Trig is an active pen digitizer technology that allows high-precision stylus and multi-touch capabilities on modern computing screens. Unlike passive styluses that mimic a finger swipe, N-Trig relies on active circuitry inside the pen barrel to achieve precise tracking, palm rejection, and tilt functionality.

N-Trig was acquired by Microsoft in 2015 and rebranded as the foundation for the Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP).
